Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which we gather, the Mulwaree region in Goulburn, New South Wales. This land has long been a vital meeting place for many Aboriginal groups, including, but not limited to, the Mulwaree, Wollondilly, Wiradjuri, Gundungurra, Dharrook, Tharawal, Tarlo, Pajong, Parramarragoo, Cookmal, Burra Burra, Lachlan, and Ngunawal peoples.

We recognise the deep cultural connection these First Nations peoples have with this land, a place of gathering, sharing knowledge, and sustaining life. The name ‘Mulwaree’ itself reflects this connection, meaning ‘long water,’ symbolising the enduring relationships between people and the natural environment.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging and acknowledge their continued guardianship of this land.
