I’ve always been drawn to helping others, it’s just how I’m wired. What stood out to me about Mulwaree Life Skills Australia is the genuine passion within the people involved. It’s not forced or polished, it’s real. You can see it in the way people show up for each other, and that’s something I wanted to be part of.

To me, life skills are about resilience, the ability to get through hard times and come out the other side. I’ve had my own challenges, like anyone, and I believe it’s not about avoiding the fall, it’s about getting back up more times than you go down. That mindset shapes how I see people and how I try to support them.

Looking ahead, I don’t think it’s my place to change things , I’m here to support what’s already working and help bring more positivity into it. If I can play a small part in creating more smiles, then I’m doing something right.

For anyone new, my approach is simple: listen first, build trust, and make sure people feel heard, not told.
